Serving is one of the hallmarks of the Christian Faith. Jesus said himself that, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” At Encounter we value the words of Jesus and that is why we believe that serving with a group of incredible people who have discovered their gifts and passions is part of a healthy spiritual growth. From creating a comfortable environment by serving on a Frontline Team, to leading the next generation to Jesus by serving on a Student Ministries Team, to crafting a dynamic experience with the Creative Arts Team, to leading a Small Group or keeping our city clean—serving opportunities abound to advance the Kingdom of God here at Encounter.

Our team brings a personal touch to our worship experiences by engaging everyone, whether in the lobby or in the auditorium. We welcome people to Encounter as they enter the building and answer questions or directs them towards Guest Services for any resources.

Our team invests in the lives of children who are Infant through 5th grade by giving them the opportunity to discover and develop a passion for God through Bible teaching, worship, Small Groups, prayer, and games.
ignite student ministry
Our team helps middle and high school students get connected to our Ignite Student ministry through Wednesday Night Youth Service, Small Groups, retreats, conferences, and serving at Encounter on Sunday Mornings.
creative arts
Our team facilitates a powerful, on-stage worship experience through utilizing the skills of vocalists and instrumentalists. It also facilitates a powerful, distraction-free worship experience through lighting, video technology, and audio engineering.
prayer team
Our team provides prayer covering for services, teams, individuals, and ministries at Encounter.
life group leader
Our team is trained to facilitate Small Groups by creating environments where people can experience community, find freedom, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
cleaning team
Our team works hard to make sure that the appearance of our church building is pleasing and environmentally safe for our weekly guests.
childrens pantry
Our team ministers to our community by providing them with resources and supplies to care for their children. We also strive to build relationships with them and minister to them on a personal, spiritual level.
